2. Membership & Accounts

  • Account Creation: You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • Eligibility: Membership is open to businesses, individuals, and organizations supporting the Sargent community.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.

3. Business Listings & User Content

  • Accuracy: Business owners must provide truthful, up-to-date information in listings.
  • Prohibited Content: Listings cannot contain false claims, spam, inappropriate, or illegal content.
  • Approval & Moderation: The Chamber reserves the right to review, edit, or remove listings that do not meet guidelines.

4. Event Listings

  • Eligibility: Only Chamber members or approved community partners may submit event listings.
  • Approval Process: Events may be subject to review before appearing on the website.
  • Prohibited Events: Events promoting illegal activities, hate speech, or misleading information will not be approved.
  • Changes & Cancellations: The Chamber is not responsible for event cancellations or last-minute changes by the organizer.

5. Sponsorships & Advertisements

  • Opportunities: The Chamber offers sponsorship and advertising placements throughout the website and events.
  • Approval Required: All sponsorships and advertisements must be approved by the Chamber before publication.
  • No Endorsement: Sponsorships do not imply official endorsement by the Chamber.

6. Payments, Membership Fees & Refunds

  • Paid Listings & Memberships: Some services, such as premium business listings, advertising, or event promotions, require payment.
  • Billing Cycle: Payments may be one-time or recurring, depending on the membership or service selected.
  • Refund Policy: Payments are final. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the Chamber’s discretion.

7. Code of Conduct

All users agree to engage respectfully and follow these guidelines:

  • Respect & Professionalism: Members and visitors must interact respectfully. Harassment or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  • No Spam: Unsolicited advertisements, excessive self-promotion, or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
  • Compliance with Laws: Users must comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

8. Privacy & Data Use

  • The Chamber values your privacy and handles data per our Privacy Policy.
  • Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties without consent.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • The Chamber does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of user-submitted content.
  • We are not responsible for any business outcomes, lost revenue, or disputes between members.
  • The Chamber is not liable for technical errors, outages, or unforeseen disruptions.

10. Updates to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
